What Ruggish was founded by Ayesha Shamsi, a passionate textile designer with a deep appreciation for creativity and craftsmanship. A graduate of the Asian Institute of Fashion Design, Ayesha started her artistic journey as a freelance digital artist in 2016. Over the years, her passion for textiles led her to explore the world of tufting—an art form that resonated with her desire to create meaningful, handcrafted pieces.
In 2024, she launched What Ruggish to introduce custom, handmade rugs to the Pakistani market, aiming to redefine home décor with bespoke, one-of-a-kind designs.
